Annual Fundraisers
We offer four annual fundraisers to support the mission of the Alex and Duke De Rego Foundation. Contact us today to get involved as a participant, volunteer or donor.
Water Patrol Lavakids
For the past 6 years, we have provided the Water Patrol for Lavakids and in return Lavaman makes a charitable contribution to our organization. We also have keiki representing the Foundation that participate.
Roi Round-Up Dive Tournament
For the past seven years our organization has teamed up with The Nature Conservancy of Hawai’i as well as Ka’upulehu Marine Life Advisory Hualalai Resort to help preserve Hawaii’s living reefs and save native fish species by ridding our coastal waters of invasive “junk” fish: roi, ta’ape and to’au. We host a Roi Round-Up Spearfishing Tournament & Ocean Safety Day at the end of summer as a fundraising event for the Alex & Duke De Rego Foundation.
Hawai’i Island Visitor Industry Charity Walk
We have participated in the Hawai’i Island Visitor Industry’s Charity Walk for the past six years. The opportunity to raise money by applying for a grant and participating in a day of FUN is a time of year The Alex & Duke De Rego Foundation looks forward too. Grants range in size up to a total of $10,000 per organization.
Holiday Benefit Fundraiser
Our Holiday Benefit Fundraiser is held in the Fall at the start of the Holiday Season. The Event is sold out every year long before we advertise it. The evening features award winning Big Island Chefs along with music by Hawaii’s Award-Winning Artist as well as a silent auction. Done in true Holiday flare!
